Connect with your classmates, students from other universities, and construction professionals across the globe as part of an Associated Schools of Construction competition team. Students compete in real-world simulations as part of regional, national, and international competition teams.

Each team of six students competes against other universities in a bid development and a construction management proposal, based on a real project. Ahead of the competition, teams work closely with company sponsors to simulate these conditions and learn the ins and outs of the process.

Concrete Team

As part of this competition, students are given a request for a proposal focused on a concrete-focused project. As part of the competition and training beforehand, they will work on a schedule, pricing, and more.

This team is sponsored by Baker Construction for 2024-2025, and Southland Concrete for the Greenville, SC competition but is looking for additional industry partners and individual competition sponsors.

Competitions
Chicago, IL - October 18-21, 2024 (Region 3)
Greenville, SC - November 18 - 19, 2024 (Region 8)
Reno, Nevada - February 2-8, 2025 (Region 6 & 7)

We would love to have you learn more about the team or participate as a shadow in a competition. Learn about what's involved from coach William Thumm.

We are looking for industry support to provide supplemental knowledge and financial support. You will act as a mentor for a specific topic which could include mentoring, industry presentations, logistics, estimating, or a similar subject.

We are happy to work with you and your company to come up with a cost and time solution that works well for both you and the team.

We are looking for an industry mentor to provide knowledge and financial support. The company mentor(s) will provide practical design-build problems similar to the ones that teams will face in the competition. As a mentor, we ask that you be available to answer questions and teach the students about various aspects of the bid process. We are happy to work with you and your company to come up with the best cost and time solution.
