William T. Thumm
William Thumm serves as an Adjunct Professor of Practice for Building Construction in the Myers Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech.
William holds a Master of Science in Mining Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
William joined Virginia Tech in 2024. Prior to joining, William was a leader in the construction business for over 32 years working for the New York City Transit Authority and with Hensel Phelps Construction Company. He has served 11 years on the Roger Williams University Construction Management Professional Advisory Board and held the Chairman position for four years.
