B.S. in Construction Engineering and Management

Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

"I chose Virginia Tech for its reputation in the industry as one of the best for engineering and construction. Reflecting on my experiences so far, almost everything that I have learned in the classroom has helped me in some way in the office and out in the field."

Why did you choose Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)?

"I accidentally came across Construction Engineering and Management during my first year at Virginia Tech. The program excels at blending both technical expertise with practical methods relevant to the construction industry.

We may be a nationally-ranking construction program, but we're also a tight-knit community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Between the individualized approach and the great people I first crossed paths with, I felt right at home at the Myers-Lawson School of Construction."

Career Goals

"I intend to use my time in the field and in the classroom to influence better decisions in a project management role."

What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?

"Reach out to plan a visit! Have lunch in Hitt Hall, witness some of our award-winning students and faculty hard at work, and come see for yourself what the Myers-Lawson School of Construction is all about!"
