Why did you choose Virginia Tech?
"I was drawn to the huge variety of programs and majors in the College of Engineering as I wasn’t sure entering my freshman year exactly what engineering discipline I wanted to pursue. It was really helpful for me to take advantage of all the information available to inform my decision to pursue a Construction Engineering and Management degree once I arrived in Blacksburg. I was also excited to become a part of the huge school spirit that Virginia Tech is famous for. Go Hokies!"
Why did you choose Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)?
"I chose construction engineering and management because it is a degree that combines a wide variety of skills including management, technical, and analytical skills. The resources in the CEM program are nearly endless, backed by an involved and expert faculty. The CEM program feels like home at Virginia Tech, as students, advisors, and faculty all know one another, and there is a supportive environment that is geared toward helping everyone succeed!"
Career Goals
"I hope to work my way towards a project management role in commercial construction."
What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?
"Reach out to someone in MLSOC and ask every question you have! Everyone loves to talk about the program, what we are involved in, what our classroom and experience is like with employers, and how we could help a prospective student."
