Degree

B.S. in Building Construction, minor in Leadership

Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

"It is a beautiful campus with one of the best Army ROTC and building construction programs in the country. There’s also a mountain I can go skiing at that’s under three hours away."

Why did you choose Building Construction (BC)?

"I fell in love with construction freshman year of high school when my dad took me out to lip houses with him. When the time for college was coming, I realized I wanted to continue my career in construction, and the best way to do that for me was by studying building construction at Virginia Tech."

Career Goals

"I want to be a competent officer in the U.S. Army. After my time in the Army, I want to become a dependable project manager and hopefully reach the executive level one day."

What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?

"Virginia Tech was an incredible choice for my university, but I would have been successful if I chose another institution. I know for a fact that without MLSoC, I would not be the person I am today. What we have in this program cannot be replicated anywhere else. There is a connection between the advisors, faculty, staff, industry, and students that you cannot fully understand until you are a student here. You will get a feel for it a little when you visit with the advisors and our ambassadors but the environment here promotes success both as an individual and professional."
