B.S. in Building Construction and Commercial Real Estate Development/Investment

Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

"Virginia Tech stood out to me because of the strong focus on student success. Faculty are committed to helping each student reach their own goals. From the one-on-one mentorship, international travel, and exposure to work alongside industry leaders, the opportunities at Virginia Tech are endless."

Why did you choose Building Construction (BC)?

"The ability to double major in building construction and real estate is a valuable and unique opportunity that has opened doors that very few other schools or programs could have provided. The curriculum is tailored to my interests. "

Career Goals

"I would like to become a real estate developer. The Myers-Lawson School of Construction has facilitated introductions that led me to pursue numerous summer internships, shaping my career trajectory. I have spent a summer working in project management for a multifamily developer and have spent two summers working in development capital and investments for a hyperscale data center developer."

What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?

"Reach out to current students! The process of picking the right school is challenging, but becoming familiar with the experiences of current students is a great way gain insight to what the school has to offer. Additionally, finding your place at a large university can be concerning. MLSoC has all of the resources of a large university, yet due to the strong community, it has the feel of a smaller school."
