Degree

B.S. in Building Construction, minor in Leadership

Why did you choose Virginia Tech?

"I chose to come to Virginia Tech because of the highly rated construction program and College of Engineering and the #1 Army ROTC program in the nation."

Why did you choose Building Construction (BC)?

"I chose the building construction degree because I want to work as a project manager for a general contractor. This career allows me to be out in the field and see tangible results in my work."

Career Goals

"At Virginia Tech I participate in Army ROTC. My career goal is to be commissioned as an engineering officer in the United States Army and lead troops to build and secure key infrastructure for our nation and our allies. After retiring I plan to work as a project manager for a general contractor."

What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?

"I would tell students interested in MLSoC that it is unique and unlike any other program in this school. Many of the professors have real industry experience and the classes are identical to practices we will see in the industry. This program also provides numerous internship programs and a high job placement after graduation."
