Michelle Turner
Role and Background
Dr. Michelle Turner serves as a Professor in the School of Property, Construction, and Project Management at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She joined the Myers-Lawson School of Construction as an Affiliated Faculty in 2024.Â
Dr. Turner's research focuses on the mental health and well-being of construction workers. In her current research, Dr. Turner is exploring how a five-day workweek impacts construction worker's well-being, time for life, and gender inclusion. Dr. Turner is also exploring women's experience of attraction and retention in the construction industry. She aims to contribute to efforts to improve the health and well-being of the construction workers, as well as improve the experience of women in construction. Dr. Turner partners with faculty members in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction to collaborate on workers' well-being and women's inclusion in construction.Â
Education
Dr. Turner holds a postgraduate in psychology from Swinburne University in Australia, a postgraduate degree in project management from RMIT University in Australia, and a Ph.D. in work-life fit in construction from RMIT University in Australia.
