Role and Background

Lindsay Lally serves as an Pulte Homes Assistant Professor of Practice in Construction Engineering and Management for the Myers-Lawson School of Construction. She joined Virginia Tech in 2018.

Lally enjoys supporting future leaders in the construction industry by bringing real-world examples and industry partners into the classroom. In her current role, Lally facilitates the senior Construction Engineering and Management capstone experience, where students apply their knowledge to real-world projects. She leads field trips, coaches the Associated Schools of Construction Heavy Civil Competition Team, and serves on the Myers-Lawson School of Construction Industry-Track Graduate Advisory Committee. 

Lally also serves on the American Society of Civil Engineers Roanoke Branch Executive Board.

Previously, Lindsay served as a project manager for Draper Aden Associates before joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction where she designed and managed a variety of land development projects, specializing in multi-disciplinary higher education.  Examples include the Virginia Tech/Blacksburg Transit Multi-Modal Transit Facility, the Radford University College of Humanities & Behavioral Sciences Building, and the Virginia Tech O’Shaughnessy Hall Renovations project.

Education

Lally holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering, both from Virginia Tech.  She holds a professional engineering license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
