Role and Background
Dr. David Ford serves as the Professor and Vecellio Chair for Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Vecellio Construction Engineering and Management Program. He joined Virginia Tech in 2022.
Dr. Ford’s research focuses on system dynamics with application to construction engineering and management of the built environment. In his current role, Ford is known for integrating research and applications of system dynamics into his classes.
Education
Dr. Ford holds a Ph.D in Engineering and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a M.S. and B.S.in Civil Engineering from Tulane University. He is also a Professional Engineer.
