Why did you choose Virginia Tech?
"I chose Virginia Tech because of its reputable College of Engineering, including being top-ranked for Construction Engineering and Management. This will open many opportunities and make me competitive in the workforce."
Why did you choose Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)?
"I chose CEM because I am very passionate about construction and want to be an engineer. During my junior year of high school, I had the opportunity to tour the school and the major with the help of previous ambassadors and that visit convinced me that CEM was the right path for me. "
Career Goals
"My career goal is to start my own construction business after working for general contractors to gain experience. With this, I strive to improve construction methods and make a positive impact on communities."
What would you tell students who are interested in joining the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC)?
"One piece of advice I would give to students interested in MLSoC is to reach out to current ambassadors. We are very eager to show you what MLSoC has to offer, including our lab spaces and our two buildings, Bishop Favrao Hall and the newly opened Hitt Hall."
