Joshua Zilke

Background

Joshua Zilke serves as the Vice President for Harkins Builder’s Southeast region. Josh joined Harkins in 2020 and has overseen the growth of Harkins throughout the Carolinas. In his current role, Josh has profit/loss responsibility for all active projects and also oversees business development and preconstruction for the region. Josh is passionate about building key relationships and developing leaders within the organization.

Josh recently obtained a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Development from UNC Charlotte. He also earned dual undergraduate degrees in Civil Engineering & Construction Engineering and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. Josh holds a Professional Engineer license, General Contractor’s license, and LEED AP credentials. While in graduate school, Josh was published multiple times in the Journal of Management in Engineering and now frequently serves as a panelist at conferences related to multifamily construction.

Josh joined the Myers-Lawson School of Construction Advisory Board in 2017, just before relocating from the Washington DC region to Charlotte North Carolina. Josh is an active guest lecturer at VT and current Chair of the CEM Committee of the Advisory Board.
