Frank ‘Chris’ Bell
Role and Background
Frank ‘Chris’ Bell serves as an Adjunct Professor of Practice for Building Construction in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction. He joined Virginia Tech in 2022.
Bell's teaching focuses is on the Integrated Construction III class for seniors and graduate students where he highlights theory and design.
He has worked in both the private and public sectors and as a U.S. Naval Officer around the world for over 25 years. He has expertise across architecture, engineering and construction industry ‘best-in-class’ practices. He currently works for the National Cancer Institute – Frederick since 2015. It is a federally funded research development center leading facilities, engineering, maintenance and construction totaling $75M to $190M a year.
Education
Bell holds a Master of Architecture, and multiple degrees from U.S. Naval War College – College of Command and Staff and Masters of National Security and Strategic Studies. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Business minor from Montana State University.
