Cory holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, and has also pursued leadership certificate programs from The University of Virgnia and Rapport Leadership.

Cory joined the Myers-Lawson School of Construction Advisory Board in 2018. He actively contributes to the board's initiatives, leveraging his extensive construction industry experience and providing valuable guidance and insights to support the development of construction education, safety, innovation and research at Virginia Tech.
